Ball Ranks League Sync

Private ESPN and Yahoo leagues can only be read while you are signed in. League Sync sends your sign-in to Ball Ranks with one click, so BallChat can see your roster, every other team, the waiver wire, and your matchup. It reads only. Nothing on ESPN or Yahoo ever changes.

    Download and unzip

    Download the extension, then unzip it. On a Mac, double-click the file. On Windows, right-click it and choose Extract All. You get a folder named ballranks-league-sync. Keep that folder somewhere permanent, like your Documents folder. Chrome runs the extension from it, so deleting the folder removes the extension.

    Open Chrome's extensions page and turn on Developer mode

    In Chrome, type chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter. Turn on the Developer mode switch in the top right. This only unlocks the Load unpacked button. You can turn it off again after step 3 and the extension keeps working. In Edge the page is edge://extensions and the switch is in the left sidebar. In Brave it is brave://extensions.

    Click Load unpacked and pick the folder

    Click Load unpacked, which appears under the heading once Developer mode is on. Choose the ballranks-league-sync folder from step 1. The Ball Ranks League Sync card appears on the page, already switched on.

    Pin it to your toolbar

    Click the puzzle-piece icon to the right of the address bar, then click the pin next to Ball Ranks League Sync. Now the orange B is one click away whenever you need it.

    Open your league, then click Sync

    Open your Yahoo or ESPN league in Chrome and sign in to Ball Ranks. Click the extension icon, choose your league if more than one is open, then press Sync. Ball Ranks imports the league and opens it for you. If your team is not already selected, choose it on the league page.

Questions

What does the extension actually send?
The selected league URL, its My Team link when available, and the platform’s sign-in cookies. The first connection happens only when you click Sync. After that, opening a supported fantasy page refreshes changed sign-in cookies automatically. The popup reads open Yahoo and ESPN tab titles and URLs so you can choose a league. Ball Ranks stores the sign-in encrypted and uses it only to read your league pages. Nothing on ESPN or Yahoo is ever changed: no lineup moves, no trades, no messages.
Do I need to keep Developer mode on?
No. Developer mode only shows the Load unpacked button. Turn it off after installing and the extension keeps running.
Which browsers work?
Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, on a desktop or laptop. Other browsers built on Chrome, such as Brave and Arc, have the same extensions page and work too. Safari, Firefox, and phone browsers do not. If that is you, ask your commissioner to make the league publicly viewable and it connects without the extension.
My league stopped syncing. What now?
Sign in to Yahoo or ESPN again in Chrome, then open your fantasy league. The extension refreshes the connection automatically. If it does not, click the extension icon and press Sync as a fallback.
How do I remove it?
Open chrome://extensions and click Remove on the Ball Ranks League Sync card. Disconnecting a league on My Leagues deletes that league's stored copy of your sign-in. To remove every stored sign-in, email the address on the privacy page.
