By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, or clicking a button that indicates acceptance, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.

Ball Ranks provides fantasy football and fantasy basketball information and tools, including player rankings, statistical projections, scoring and category views, saved-roster tools, articles, and BallChat. Some public information is available without an account. Features such as saved rosters, BallChat, and Premium access require an account and may have usage limits.

We may add, remove, or change features and limits as the Service develops. The Service does not run fantasy contests, take wagers, hold entry fees, or award prizes.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these Terms. The Service is intended only for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18.

You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may not sell, transfer, or share an account in a way that defeats Service limits or security controls.

The Service is for general information and entertainment. Rankings, projections, trends, articles, and BallChat responses are estimates, not guarantees. Players can be injured, traded, benched, or used differently without warning, and data or model output can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. AI-generated responses can also misunderstand a question or produce inaccurate information.

You are responsible for checking information and making your own lineup, draft, roster, spending, and contest decisions. Nothing in the Service is financial, legal, medical, gambling, or other professional advice. You assume the risks of relying on the Service, including lost fantasy contests, entry fees, trades, or other decisions.

You may not use the Service to:

• break any law or another person’s rights;
• harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate, or harm another person;
• upload malicious code or interfere with the Service’s operation or security;
• bypass access controls, usage limits, or account restrictions;
• probe for vulnerabilities without our prior written permission;
• use automated access in a way that places an unreasonable load on the Service or ignores our published robots and machine-readable instructions; or
• copy, resell, or commercially exploit a substantial part of the Service without permission.

Standard search indexing and other automated access that follows our published machine-readable instructions remains permitted.

You may provide content such as BallChat prompts, feedback, and roster choices. You keep any rights you have in that content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, and transmit it only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service and to comply with law.

You represent that you have the rights needed to provide your content and that it does not violate these Terms. Do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential information, or content you do not want processed by the Service and its service providers.

The Service, including its design, software, original writing, rankings, model outputs, graphics, and branding, is owned by Ball Ranks or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own lawful purposes.

If you send feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation. This does not transfer ownership of content you submit for other purposes.

The Service relies on third-party providers and may link to third-party sites. Third parties may have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their services. Sports statistics and related information originate from identified public or licensed sources. Ball Ranks is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NFL, NBA, ESPN, Yahoo, any team, or any player.

Team names, player names, league names, and other third-party marks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary.

Ball Ranks Premium is a paid membership billed annually. The purchase screen states the price, billing period, included features, and any purchase-specific terms before you pay. Your membership starts when your first payment succeeds and renews automatically every year on that date. Stripe charges the payment method on file at the annual price shown on your account page unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will notify you before any change to your renewal price takes effect.

You can cancel at any time from your account page or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future charges, and Premium stays active until the end of the year you already paid for. Taxes may apply. Unless the purchase screen says otherwise or applicable law requires it, charges are non-refundable once Premium access begins, including for unused time after a cancellation.

Purchase terms shown at checkout become part of these Terms. If those purchase terms conflict with this section, the purchase terms control for that transaction. Stripe processes payments and makes billing details available through its customer portal. A full refund, payment reversal, or payment dispute may end the Premium access associated with that purchase.

We aim to keep the Service useful and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent storage, or support for every device or browser. We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including models, rankings, seasons, features, and usage limits. We are not responsible for outages or changes caused by third-party providers or events outside our reasonable control.

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion using the contact method below. We may limit, suspend, or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, abused the Service, or if continued operation is no longer practical. When reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions about ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, disputes, and general terms.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Ball Ranks disclaims all express and implied warranties, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, and security. We do not warrant that the Service or any projection, ranking, response, or data will be complete, current, accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Some places do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Ball Ranks and its operator, contributors, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, opportunities, contest results, or fantasy sports losses arising from or related to the Service or these Terms, even if advised that such damages were possible.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, their total liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Ball Ranks for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limits apply regardless of the legal theory and do not apply where prohibited by law.

To the extent allowed by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ball Ranks and its operator from third-party claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your content, or your material violation of these Terms. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from Ball Ranks’ own unlawful conduct.

California law governs these Terms and any dispute arising from them, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you and Ball Ranks agree to try in good faith to resolve it informally for 30 days after written notice. Send notice using the contact method below and clearly mark it as a legal notice.

Except where applicable law allows you to bring a claim elsewhere, state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California will have exclusive jurisdiction, and you and Ball Ranks consent to those courts. You may bring an eligible claim in small claims court. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or limits non-waivable consumer rights.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, or our practices. We will post the updated Terms and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service or another appropriate channel before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.

These Terms and any purchase-specific terms are the entire agreement between you and Ball Ranks about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, sale, or transfer of the Service. Headings are for convenience only.
